Sleep

Obesity is becoming more and more of a social problem today. According to the research conducted by the Ministry of Health in 2013, unfortunately 30% of our country's people are obese. It has been proven in many scientific studies that extremely obese people live 10 years shorter than normal weight people. Life-threatening diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, sexual disorders, joint and bone problems, and sleep apnea, which is interruption of breathing for more than 10 seconds during sleep, are very common in overweight people, which we call morbid obesity. It is desired that these people first return to their normal weight with diet and exercise. We apply surgical methods for people who cannot lose weight by these methods. Not being able to get quality sleep is among the factors that cause obesity.

Our body wears out as a result of the chemical substances that appear in our body as a result of the acceleration of metabolism during the day. This wear and tear can only be repaired with a deep sleep at night. A deep sleep at night is needed to survive and maintain our health. During this deep sleep, many hormones that are beneficial to our body, including growth hormone, are secreted. This oscillation is highest especially in the first half of the sleep taken before 12 at night. These hormones not only strengthen our immune system and destroy abnormal cells, but also burn fat and build bone and muscle cells. For this reason, in people who cannot get quality sleep, damaged cells will not be able to regenerate and the person will become increasingly obese. In addition, quality sleep enables you to work more actively during the day and make healthy decisions.
