CHEMICAL PEELING

Chemical peeling is an application method that aims to create controlled damage to the skin at various depths by applying one or more chemical agents to the skin and to reveal a healthy skin.

WHO IS IT APPLIED TO?

Blemish: Pigmentation disorders (correction of spots on the skin)
Acne: superficial acne scars, post-acne spots, comedonal acne (blackheads)
Antiaging: Photoaging (sun-induced skin aging), thin superficial wrinkles, large pores,
Scars: scars of various shapes and depths and hypertrophic scars
Other: pseudofolliculitis barba (ingrown hair), keratosis pilaris (prominence of hair follicles on arms and legs), seborrheic
keratosis, actinic keratosis, plane warts (flat warts), milia (sebaceous glands), sebaceous hyperplasia (age-related proliferation of sebaceous glands)

TO WHOM IS IT NOT APPLIED?

Active herpes virus infection (cold sores), infection and open sores
Use of oral contraceptives (birth control pills) and medications that may cause sun sensitivity (photosensitivity)
Isotretinoin treatment in the last 6-12 months
Abnormal scar formation, history of keloids and delayed wound healing
Pregnancy/breastfeeding
Risk of exposure to intense sunlight
Recent facial surgery or laser application

HOW IS IT APPLIED?

Topical
preparations can be used 2-4 weeks before the application to get a better response from chemical peeling. If these products are used, they should be discontinued 3-5 days before the procedure.
Make-up should not be applied and moisturizer should not be applied on the day of the procedure.
Preparations are made before the application (hair cap, cleansing the face, applying Vaseline to the edges of the eyes, lips and nose
) and the chemical preparation is applied to the entire face.

APPLICATION S AFTER

After the procedure, edema, redness and crusting may occur for 1-3 days in superficial peelings and 5-10 days in deep peelings.

A soap-free cleanser and moisturizer should be used. After the skin appearance returns to normal,
creams, moisturizers and sunscreens used for treatment should be restarted.
Peeling sessions are individually arranged according to the patient's specific condition, skin type and tolerance. Very
superficial peelings are repeated every 1-2 weeks, superficial peelings are repeated every 2-4 weeks and 4-6 times.
