Aortic and Iliac Artery Surgery and Heart Valve Surgeries

Aorta and Iliac Artery Surgery:
All kinds of vascular dilations (aneurysms), vascular wall tears (rupture / dissection) and large vessel stenosis/occlusions (stenosis/occlusion) can be corrected by both open and closed methods (envovascular surgery - EVAR/TEVAR).

Open due to aneurysm. In patients requiring surgery, the enlarged aortic area is often replaced at the abdominal or chest level (abdominal/thoracic/thoracoabdominal) using a synthetic vascular graft. Iliac stenting and open surgery methods are used for large vessel occlusions and ruptures. Endovascular treatments are performed under general or regional anesthesia. It is applied through the artery in the groin or arm, without making a large incision. The aneurysmatic/ballooned vascular area is corrected intravenously with one or several synthetic tubes or trouser-shaped artificial vascular grafts. Stenosis at the level of the aorta and iliac arteries can be opened with special balloons and stents.

Heart Valve Surgeries:

Heart valves are mostly damaged due to rheumatic or degenerative heart disease. Valve repair and valve replacement surgery are required for patients who develop (aortic, mitral, tricuspid) stenosis (stenosis)or insufficiency. Repair surgery techniques in which the heart valves are preserved and heart valve replacement surgeries using heart valves (biological valves) that do not require the patient to use long-term blood thinners (coumadin tablets) can be performed safely.
