Evidence is reported regarding the benefits of breastfeeding, especially in reducing or even preventing allergies, obesity, cancer, inflammation and chronic diseases. Breast milk has properties that will fully support the developmental immune system of the newborn.
In order not to upset our mothers who cannot breastfeed their babies due to any illness or use of medication, I exonerate our mothers and state that only mothers who do not have any risk in breastfeeding should definitely breastfeed.
Benefits of breastfeeding for the baby:
Breastfeeding reduces the risk of both acute and recurrent otitis, especially when continued for longer than 6 months
Breastfeeding reduces hospitalization with lower respiratory tract disease
In those with a family history of atopy; Breastfeeding for at least 3 months reduces the risk of atopic dermatitis compared to breastfeeding for a shorter period
For children under ten years of age; Breastfeeding for less than 3 months reduces the risk of asthma compared to not breastfeeding at all. This decrease is more evident in those with a family history of asthma
Breastfeeding reduces the risk of obesity later in life
Breastfeeding appears to reduce both Type I and Type 2 diabetes
At least 6 Breastfeeding for months reduces the risk of childhood leukemia
There is a more positive increase in the neurodevelopmental scores of premature and low birth weight babies in those who receive breast milk.
Breastfeeding strengthens the bond between mother and baby. Babies feel safe and calm down
The easy-to-digest nature of breast milk does not cause gas and does not cause constipation or diarrhea, allowing babies to move more easily. It also prevents urinary tract infections
