1. Teeth Whitening at Home (Home Bleaching):
It is a whitening method that the patient can apply himself. The physician takes measurements from the patient's mouth and according to this measurement, a special protective gel is applied to the teeth to prevent damage to the gums and thin rubber molds with medication are prepared that the patient can put on and remove himself. The patient wears these molds, preferably while sleeping, for at least 6 to 8 hours a day for 1 to 4 weeks.
2. Teeth Whitening in the Clinic (Office Bleaching):
It is a whitening method performed by a physician. The whitening medicine is placed on the tooth by the experienced physician and the blue/green light source is shined on the tooth for a certain period of time and the result is observed immediately (after a procedure lasting 45-50 minutes).
Although both methods are very effective. The decision of which one should be preferred depends on the area where the tooth cleaning is applied, the degree of discoloration on the tooth, how quickly the treatment is desired to be terminated, and the opinion of the physician.
3. Combined Teeth Whitening:The physician first applies the teeth whitening method in the clinic, then the patient continues the whitening method at home, and when he comes back 1 week later, he will see that his teeth are whiter than both methods. So this whitening is a more effective whitening method.
