The job in which we spend most of our time is also of great importance for our spine health. Unfortunately, workers in some professions are at greater risk in terms of back and neck health. The main branches of work that put the most strain on our spine, waist and neck are desk jobs, computer jobs, banking, textile, factories, construction, transportation, driving, cleaning work, cooking and our profession, surgery. These occupational groups that we have mentioned basically affect our spine health through three mechanisms:
-
Lifting and carrying heavy
-
Stand still and motionless for a long time. sitting or standing
-
Work stress
So what should we do then? Shouldn't we work?
Of course, this is impossible for most of us. So what can we do as a solution? First of all, we must know that a strong back and a strong neck will have much less difficulty doing these tasks. So how do we have a strong spine? Of course, with sports, which is the beginning of everything. Let's think of an athlete whose job is weightlifting... This athlete lifts approximately 150 kg of weight many times every day and does not experience any problems. So, why can we make our back or neck sick at the slightest strain? In fact, there is not a big difference between the spine of weightlifters and our spine. The main difference is in the muscles surrounding the spine. There are strong muscles surrounding the spine, which undertake the task of lifting and carrying in every movement made by people who do sports. Since these muscles are weak in people who do not do sports, all the work and load falls on the spine. As a result, waist and neck diseases begin.
Then let's get into sports!
