As long as these appliances, called Ratainers, remain in the mouth, the risk of deterioration of the teeth is eliminated. In case the retainer breaks, patients should see their orthodontist immediately.
2. Movable reinforcement apparatus
It is a transparent, hard and removable apparatus. Since it is transparent, it is not very visible in the mouth. It is easy for the patient to get used to this apparatus. Depending on the condition of the teeth, the orthodontist may want it to be worn 24 hours a day or at night while sleeping. Over time, the duration of use is reduced and the patient's treatment is terminated.
