Implant is a treatment method that we recommend for patients to replace lost teeth by increasing their standard of living with long, healthy and useful teeth. In this article, I will try to give you information about implant treatment.
In general, we can list the main questions that patients feel uneasy about as follows; “Will it hurt a lot?”, “Will I have any problems after the treatment?”, “How long can I use it?”, “Can the tooth be placed on the implant immediately?”.
Why Implant Treatment?
1.To eliminate the missing teeth and to eliminate both comfortable chewing and aesthetic problems.
2.To eliminate the tooth gap, to prevent healthy teeth from being cut and replaced with a bridge prosthesis.
3.To prevent osteoporosis in the area where tooth loss occurs.
What are the Treatment Stages?
1.Firstly, a panoramic and sometimes A three-dimensional tomography image is taken, and if bone deficiency is detected, bone powder supplementation is applied to this area.
2. When starting the procedure, local anesthesia is applied to the patient, just as if a filling or shooting will be performed, and this treatment is supported with medications afterwards.
3. The application time of a single implant is 20 minutes, and 1 week after this application, the patient is invited back to the clinic to have the stitches removed and the general condition to be checked.
4.For the rest, approximately 2 or 2 days. It is waited for 2.5 months for the implant to fuse to the bone.
5. During this process, a temporary tooth is made so that the patient is not disturbed by the gap in the tooth area.
6.After the implant fuses, a prosthesis, zirconium or other material is made. It is applied after evaluating the prosthesis alternatives and making the appropriate selection.
7.The implant is made of titanium material, which remains in the mouth for many years and does not cause any allergies.

Even though it is very rare, if such a situation is encountered, the bone tissue is strengthened and reattached.
Finally, in order for the implant to remain healthy in the mouth for much longer periods of time, It is very important for children to pay attention to their oral hygiene. Like other teeth, the area around the implant area should be brushed and cleaned well.
After this entire process, doctor's checks every 6 months should not be neglected.
