Is Your Child Ready for Nursery Life? (one)

The healthy development of your child, who tries to adapt to the new world from the moment he is born, is very important. It is necessary to follow children's development in all five areas. These; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social areas. Children's skills and experiences, which differ with each passing year, should be handled according to these areas.

Preschool education is also an important and valuable stage for children, who begin to gain more of a place in social life as they grow and develop. Children; Preschool education is started in order for them to get used to social life, learn to share, improve their skills and become ready for school education, and to avoid adaptation problems at school. However, in the last 10 years, pre-school education institutions have become more necessary for economic reasons as well as for pedagogical reasons. Because families may need to send their young children to nursery so that the mother can find the opportunity to work and contribute to the family budget while their children get used to school life. Sometimes, in order to take better and more comfortable care of a second newborn baby, the older child may be sent to preschool education institutions at an unsuitably early age.

Unless there is an extraordinary situation; Children should not be separated from their family environment before the age of 2.5 (or even before the age of 3), and the decision to enroll them in pre-school institutions should not be made hastily. Because what a little child, who is not yet ready for such a new and crowded life, needs is primarily a family environment, not a nursery environment. A child who is sent to a nursery before gaining sufficient physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social maturity may be harmed by this, and the traces of this harmful choice may continue to negatively affect him for years. Therefore, the child must be mature enough to be sent to nursery.

From another perspective; If your child is 2.5 - 3 years old but cannot demonstrate age-appropriate skills and has not reached age-appropriate maturity in five aspects, it is important to investigate and evaluate the reasons for this. For example, it may be necessary to investigate why he cannot express himself, to understand how difficult he is having separation from his mother, and to evaluate the attitudes of his parents. Shows developmental delay It would be appropriate for designated children to benefit from appropriate and effective special education opportunities as quickly as possible.

What characteristics should a nursery child have?

The nursery child is expected to be able to say 'goodbye' or 'goodbye' to his parents or caregiver, that is, to be ready to leave them, without feeling deep anxiety and worry.
