In order for the light hitting our face to be reflected back brightly, the lid-cheek transition must be smooth; Since the light reflects darkly from irregular areas, these areas appear black-purple. Light filling gives very good results in these patients, especially if there is no significant fat bagging. Hyaluronic acid fillers or fat transfers injected into the gap area aim to make the lid-cheek transition smoother. Since the light reflects back brighter from a flatter surface, the fillers applied under the eyes are known as 'light fillers'.
Generally, in the first session, an amount of the drug is applied to the deep tissue and the rest of the filler is injected at the end of a 2-3 week period during which the area is filled day by day. With this application, the effectiveness period is approximately 2 years. Light filling should not be applied to patients with very serious allergies (asthma attack, severe hay fever) or patients with lymphatic drainage disorders in the lower lid. Another treatment group for under-eye dark circles is mesotherapy. In Mesotherapy, bruise-removing, nourishing, and skin quality-improving chemicals are administered through needles under the skin. In the PRP application in this group, platelets prepared from the person's own blood are injected under the skin instead of chemicals.
