Motivation

We take action towards whatever is in our lives with a sincere desire. The driving force that moves us and keeps us moving is defined as motivation. Wanting anything is possible with an inner desire, so we take action on the things we desire. Motivation is related to individuals' desire for something to take action. When talking about motivation, it is necessary to mention Maslow's hierarchy of needs. In Maslow's hierarchy, physiological needs and safety needs are at the bottom. These are a person's basic needs: shelter, food and protection. In the next stages, there is belonging, love and being valued. When individuals meet all these needs, they reach the self-actualization stage. Self-actualizing individuals mean personal satisfaction and the ability of individuals to reveal their potential. According to Maslow, individuals cannot move on to the next stage without fulfilling their needs in these stages. Therefore, individuals' motivation depends on meeting the needs in all these stages.
