HIPS (Butt) Aesthetics
Buttocks are perhaps the most attractive part of the female body. A firm butt placed on long legs, round, upright and not sticking out to the sides is the dream of all men and women. A prominent waistline, two small dimples, a thin waist and a taut abdomen support this image. Leg length and hip width are genetically determined and are unlikely to be changed. However, it is possible to preserve what exists, correct what is damaged, and create a more proportionate and aesthetic appearance by changing the shape of the soft tissues.
Frequently asked questions about hip (butt) aesthetics:
What is butt aesthetics?
All procedures for the hips, hips and waist can be grouped under the title of buttock aesthetics. The aim is to shape and raise the butt, remove excess weight from the hips, and dimple and thin the waist. For this purpose, liposuction is performed to the necessary areas and fat is removed, while the upper part of the butt is supported with fat injections. In cases where fat is not sufficient, silicone prostheses can be used. This process ensures that the butt stands out and high towards the back. In patients who have lost a lot of weight and have loose skin, the skin can be removed from the top of the butt in a belt-like manner and the entire hip area can be hung up. In this case, just like in breast lift surgery, the patient's own tissues can be shaped under the skin to give the butt an upright and tight shape. My personal preference is to shape the loose and sagging hip with this method without using a prosthesis.
Who can undergo hip aesthetic procedures?
Buttock aesthetic procedures can be performed on all patients who are not satisfied with the shape of their hips. Patients generally complain about their buttocks being flat, low, or too wide.
How are buttock aesthetic surgeries performed?
There are many procedures that can be performed on the hip area. These can be applied alone or together, depending on the patient's needs.
• Liposhaping: Fat is removed from the hips, waist, and the lower and outer parts of the buttocks with thin cannulas. The extracted fat is concentrated with special processes and applied to the upper part of the butt. Like this The waist becomes hollow and thinner, and the hips become narrower. The accumulation at the bottom of the butt is removed and the lighter butt rises. Fat injections plump, round and elevate the upper part of the butt.
• Butt prostheses: Silicone butt prostheses can be used in patients with flat butts and insufficient fat tissue. These prostheses are products designed for the hips. Prostheses have recently been placed into the muscle. This practice has greatly reduced the problems associated with hip prostheses. Prostheses are placed through a short incision in the groove between the hips and no surgical scars are visible.
• Butt lift: Especially after excessive weight loss, the entire leg skin sags down on the hips. The emptied and loosened skin is removed in the form of a girdle only in the hip area or, if necessary, in the front with an abdominoplasty. These procedures are called belt lipectomy. After the surgery, there will be a stitch scar that resembles a G string underwear, all covered in underwear. This process allows the hips to be stretched. If the looseness is on the lower side of the hip, a skin removal can be done so that the scar will remain in the groove on the lower side of the hip. Sagging can be reduced with sewing hangers. Special stitches used in the Silhouette lift are used for the strap. The effect of suspension procedures is weak and short-term.
• Filling applications: Hyaluronic acid fillings can be applied to patients who have a flat butt, do not have enough fat for fat injection, and do not want a prosthesis. The most well-known brand is Macrolane. Macrolane fillings last for approximately 1 year.
Isn't there a non-surgical solution for hips?
Exercising regularly and not gaining weight is beneficial for the hips as well as for the whole body.
What should and should not be done before the surgery?
As in all surgeries, it is necessary to stop taking aspirin and smoking 3 weeks before the surgery for hip aesthetics. It is important to stay away from medications and similar substances that can thin the blood in the last week.
Hip (butt) Aesthetic Surgeries
Hip aesthetic surgeries are performed in the operating room environment and under general anesthesia. Macrolane applications can only be performed under sedation. The surgery takes between 1-3 hours, depending on the procedures performed.
Butt implants may cause some pain and discomfort. Patients may have difficulty sitting after surgery. There may also be some pain during liposhaping procedures. Sling and macrolane applications are not painful.
Patients are usually sent home on the same day. Patients who undergo hip lift by removing the skin in the form of a girdle are hospitalized for one day. After two days, patients can take a bath. Since all of the stitches are under the skin, there is no need to remove stitches. Patients must use a corset for the first 3 weeks. They need to sit carefully after butt implants. After the third week, sports other than running are allowed. After the sixth week, all kinds of activities are allowed.
No serious problems are expected after fat injections. Some of the fat lost is lost and the hips become slightly smaller over time. Long scars in hip slings made by removing the skin in the form of a girdle may worry patients, but over time the scars will fade and become indistinct. After butt implants, problems such as the prosthesis being visible from the outside and capsule development were frequently encountered in the past, but placing the prosthesis into the muscle has greatly reduced these problems. The biggest problem with stitched hangers is that their effect lasts for a short time. The body may sometimes react to fillers. For this reason, soluble materials and well-known brands should always be preferred. Macrolane, a hyaluronic acid composition, is one of the safest products. However, even Macrolane can cause a reaction.
Approximately 30% of the fat given during liposhaping is lost, but the shape given to the waist and butt is permanent. Likewise, the effects of butt implants are permanent. Hangers performed by removing the skin are radical and effective surgeries, and their results are permanent. The effect of suture hangers is short-lived. This period varies depending on the anatomical structure of the patient. Heavy hips release themselves in a shorter time They are. Macrolane injections disappear completely within 1 year. It is important for patients to pay attention to their weight and do regular sports and skin care in order to maintain the results obtained after surgery.
