Inspired by Stephanie Torre's article, which I love very much, I would like to talk about our repeated mistakes. James Joyce talks about the idea that every moment we stray from the path can lead to discovery. The truth is, this has been mentioned long before. B.C. Cicero from the 80's: "To err is human. But only fools insist on repeating the same mistake.' Or am I a fool when I make a mistake a second time? No no! This means that even if mistakes are made, there is no need to panic as long as progress is made. Thinking like this is actually quite convincing and comforting. We learn from every mistake, right? Just like when I was learning to park the car, I was careful not to rub it the second time, where I had rubbed it once. However, getting rid of bad habits and not making the same mistake again is not that easy for everyone. A consultant who comes to consult; For example, he talks about the recurring cycle in his life that he describes as a mistake. The main thing is to break the cycle, to realize why one chooses to be in that cycle and how to break it.
Although we do many things consciously, there are many times when we act and decide unconsciously without realizing it; Because it is he who pushes us, through our emotions, to choose the wrong thing, despite ourselves. Perhaps what we are looking for outside of this consciousness shows the mental state that we coded as children, which initially aimed to protect us from reality and evil, but later became harmful at the point we have reached today. For example, our fears that we do not know the reason for. That's why some of you still find yourself in a harmful relationship or doing harmful things, despite being so self-conscious. Existential Psychologist Pleux says that the first thing to do to deal with this situation is to listen to our dysfunctional emotions. Reconsider your repeated mistakes and ask yourself; Who or what directs your life? Why do you need to 'please', 'oppose' or 'prevent trouble'? Questioning yourself in this way allows you to examine the irrational rules you are addicted to. Because in fact life will be taken It consists not of lessons, but of experiences where we will find courage.
