Doppler USG or Color Doppler Ultrasound is a system used to examine vascular structures. It is not only used in the pregnancy follow-up process, but also systems called color Doppler are used in the diagnosis of many diseases. While these tools can be found as stand-alone devices, they are already included in 4-dimensional ultrasound devices in today's modern technologies.
In the pregnancy follow-up process; Color Doppler ultrasound is used to examine the vessels in the baby's umbilical cord, called umbilical vessels. It works on the principle of sound waves, like other ultrasound systems.
4D ultrasound (4d ultrasound)
4D ultrasound, also known as 4d sonography; It is a highly advanced, modern product that allows the 3D (spatial) view, which includes width, length and depth dimensions, to be displayed simultaneously (real time) via a monitor.
In the past, three-dimensional ultrasound While the movements of the baby in the mother's womb can be viewed with a delay through examinations carried out using devices, with the use of 4-dimensional ultrasonography, it is possible to monitor the frowning, yawning, thumb sucking, laughing and other similar movements of the babies in the mother's womb instantly and quickly.
The basic working principles of classical-traditional ultrasound devices used today can be explained as follows; It is brought into contact with the mother using a special device, and the high-frequency sound waves emitted from the tip of the device are reflected on tissues of different densities, creating an image. This image is projected onto a monitor to observe the movements and general condition of the baby in the mother's womb.
It was used before. In 3D ultrasound systems, the image of the baby in the womb was formed on average within 10 - 15 minutes after examination, and the inability to create a complete and clear image of the baby prevented obtaining sufficient and complete information about the development of the baby in the womb. For this reason, diagnoses of congenital anomalies could be made later.
In conventional two-dimensional ultrasounds, the reflections obtained were received flatly. The reflections obtained in 3D ultrasounds are provided at certain angles. In this way, tissues can be displayed in more detail. The 4th dimension expression used here means that 3D images of the baby in the womb can be viewed and recorded simultaneously, just like photographs, during ultrasound recording.
4D ultrasound is very useful in diagnosis and diagnosis in the following subjects. It has an important place:
