Teeth Whitening is generally applied with hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. With a dentist examination, it can be decided whether your teeth are suitable for whitening and the approximate whiteness they can achieve can be shown to you with an example. Before the whitening process, tartar must be cleaned and stains must be removed. This type of aesthetic treatment is a very simple and fast application. During the teeth whitening process, your doctor first isolates your gums and surrounding tissues with a protective silicone substance. He then applies the whitening gel to the surface of your teeth and uses a suitable light source to activate the gel more. Generally, one session is sufficient and takes approximately 30 minutes.
There are 2 different methods for Teeth Whitening.
1. Teeth Whitening Applied by the Dentist
The content of the whitening gel in the whitening process applied in the office is more intense
and is activated a little more with laser light. This is how we usually achieve the tooth color we want in one or two sessions.
2. Whitening system (Home Bleaching) that you can apply at home under the supervision of a dentist
With this technique, you can apply a gel at the concentration determined by your dentist with a whitening plate at home
. Teeth sensitivity may occur during the whitening process. Depending on the degree of sensitivity, your doctor decides whether to proceed with the procedure. You will need to stay away from certain foods and drinks after the treatment.
