Metabolic Balance

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT METABOLIC SYNDROME?
I wanted to give some information about the 'metabolic syndrome' that we have been hearing frequently lately...
Why?
Because our health and, accordingly, our standard of living are gradually becoming increasingly different. It affects by triggering. By the time we realize it, we have already entered a vicious circle. Metabolic syndrome mostly affects people who are inactive, sit at a desk, have irregular nutrition and sleep, and work under stress as a result of modern life. Its incidence increases with advancing age and weight gain.
In fact, the disease itself is hidden in the names given to it! Various names have been given, such as Civilization Syndrome, Fatal Foursome, Beer Belly, Cardio-Metobolic Syndrome, Insulin Resistance Syndrome.
What diseases does metabolic syndrome consist of?
1. Insulin resistance
2. Diabetes (Diabetes Mellitus)
3. Hypertension
4. Dyslipidemia (Disorder of blood fats)
br /> 5. Obesity (Weight gain)
6. Cardiovascular disease
7. Fatty liver
8. Polycystic ovary syndrome
9. Coagulation disorder
Etc.

Maybe it's time for us to take a tape measure and look at our waist circumference?
Why?
Because we weigh ourselves to find out whether we have gained weight or not. But what really matters is in which area your weight accumulates. In people with metabolic syndrome, fat accumulation accumulates especially around the waist and abdomen. The body shape is similar to an apple. This type of fat, which is detected by waist circumference measurement, greatly increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
When some of my patients come to me, I measure them with a tape measure in addition to their fat measurements, which has even become a joke among us, thinking that we have come to the tailor. :)Dr.Güleryüz. 
People who have a thin waist and whose fat accumulates mostly below the waist and hips are pear type. Although our patients are uncomfortable with this type of fat due to aesthetic concerns, it is the apple type body shape that actually risks our health and is shown as internal organ fat (abdominal obesity). For your information! It means you are dromous... (Deadly quadruple!!!)
2) Our blood fats and cholesterol values;
High triglyceride: greater than 150 mg/dl
Low HDL (benign cholesterol) (in men < 40 mg/dL; <50 mg/dL in women)
3) Our blood pressure;
Being higher than 135/80
4) Having high fasting blood sugar (≥100 mg/dL) or type 2 diabetes

Add movement to your life!
But Healthy We can protect ourselves from metabolic syndrome by adopting the lifestyle!
Changing the diet and physical exercise are indispensable. Walking every day or at least four days a week for at least 30 - 45 minutes. And of course we need to get rid of our excess weight. Believe me, it is not that difficult. . Depending on the recommendation of your specialist doctor, it may be necessary to support it with lipid lowerers, antihypertensives and antidiabetics.
