Implant treatment

Tooth loss due to tooth decay or periodontal (gum diseases) over the years negatively affects patients in terms of aesthetics and functionality.

What is an implant?

The concept of osteointegration, which is considered the basis of oral implantology, is based on microscopic studies on bone healing conducted by Branemak on rabbit bones in 1952. The concept of osteointegration emerged as a result of studies conducted in the 1960s. Osteointegration is defined as the direct structural and functional connection between living bone tissue and the implant surface.

Dental implants are structures generally composed of titanium and titanium alloys placed in the jaw bone.

JAW CYSTS

What are Jaw Cysts?

Tooth They are divided into two: dental and non-dental.

Dental-derived ones are pathological (unhealthy) cavities containing air, fluid or pus, where the cells that play a role during the formation of the tooth and the development of the tooth structure grow and expand abnormally.

Those that are not of dental origin are formed due to abnormal cell migration or abnormal cell proliferation during the formation of the jaws and facial skeleton.

Treatment of jaw cysts

It is the surgical removal of the cyst under local anesthesia or general anesthesia, depending on the size and aggressiveness of the cyst.

IMPEARED TOOTH

What is an impacted tooth?

These are teeth that cannot erupt into the mouth due to pathological or various reasons and remain in the bone. Eating preferences changed with the discovery of fire by human beings, from hard and difficult to chew foods to softer and easier to chew. For this reason, the growth and expansion of the jaw bones were restricted and the teeth could not erupt into the mouth and remained buried in the bone.

Embedded teeth cause destruction of the roots of neighboring teeth, cavities, cyst formation and crooked teeth problems.

Treatment of Impacted Teeth

It is the surgical removal of the tooth under local anesthesia.
