Sinus cancer is a type of cancer that grows in the paranasal sinuses. This tumor area can start in the nasal bones or nerve cells. The chance of survival is high with early diagnosis and treatment.

How to diagnose?

Sinuses are examined endoscopically. In this operation, a thin tube with a small light and a video camera at the end is inserted into the sinuses. By looking at the inside of the sinuses, the location and size of the tumor can be determined and a definite conclusion can be reached. Also;
- Blood tests- Imaging tests of the skull such as X-Ray, CT or MRI- Chest imaging tests- Tissue sample from the tumor may also be required.

How to plan the treatment in sinus cancer?

The most common approach in the treatment of sinus cancer is a combination of surgery and radiotherapy. The goal of surgery is to remove the tumor. Radiotherapy is applied to destroy the remaining cancer cells.
