The Art of Correct Breathing
Have you ever focused on how you breathe? Just give yourself a few minutes and watch your breathing; You can examine whether it is slow, fast, blocked, rhythmless, restless or unbalanced. The important point here is to realize the importance of our breathing, that is, to provide "breathing awareness". So what is "breathing awareness"?
"Breathing is not just breathing."
Breathing is an indispensable part of our lives, "I no longer want to breathe." It's not something you can just say 'I don't want' and put it aside. In fact, this is exactly why we need to take proper breathing very seriously. Because we are not very aware of it, but breathing correctly can affect our body in physiological, biological and psychological ways. While we can make things worse by breathing incorrectly, we can positively affect our perception and physical health by breathing correctly.
Is Your Breathing Quality?
Here are a few main topics where you can test your breathing;
Exhalation Time
Your exhalation time should be approximately 2-3 times longer than your inhalation time.
Your Respiratory Rate per Minute
Breathing 8-12 times per minute is considered normal. For good breathing, it is recommended that you reduce the number of breaths you take per minute.
Depth of Breath
Breathing in which you fill your entire lungs is a quality breath.
Nasal Breathing
Mouth breathing is unhealthy. In order for the diaphragm to work sufficiently effectively, you need to breathe through the nose.
Silence of Breath
It is problematic to have no sound coming out of your nose when breathing, to have difficulty, to have wheezing. It is an indicator of breathing.
A good breath; It is heavy, deep and silent. Measurement, balance and harmony are very important.
