Consume Water in All Seasons

The human body is 52-60% water. Sufficient consumption of water, which is extremely important in ensuring our blood circulation, breathing, removing wastes from our body, and regulating our body temperature, is important for maintaining our health. While a person can withstand hunger for a long time, he can only withstand thirst for a few days. Perhaps this is the criterion that best describes the importance of water. We can rank the vital needs of human beings according to their importance as follows; oxygen, water, nutrients.

When we lose 8%, we feel dizzy and extreme fatigue.

When we lose 10%, circulatory and kidney failure is seen,

When we lose 20%, it causes death.

The reason why we, as dietitians, attach so much importance to water is that water, which is so necessary for our body, helps to carry nutrients to the tissues, to work our metabolism, and to purify our body from toxic substances. In addition, it should be consumed in summer and winter in order to help accelerate metabolism. In winter, we should not hide behind excuses such as 'It was cold, I couldn't drink water'.
