Preliminary Information:
Although it is not well known by the society, the underlying cause is unknown in 90% of patients diagnosed with High Blood Pressure.
The medical name of High Blood Pressure, the cause of which is unknown, is " ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION.
Not knowing the cause of a disease does not leave the physician completely helpless in the face of the treatment of that disease.
We call the disruption of normal vital functioning in the human body simply "disease".
We first deal with finding the cause of the disease and then treating it. However, sometimes when we cannot find what causes the disease, treatment is limited to correcting the consequences of the disease. We call this treatment style "Symptomatic Treatment".
The treatment of Essential Hypertension is also symptomatic treatment. Since the main cause of the disease is unknown, we have to be content with treatment that lowers the high blood pressure it causes.
For example, a type of kidney tumor is the cause of hypertension. When the tumor is detected with early diagnosis and removed by surgery, blood pressure is permanently improved. We call this treatment method "complete cure - definitive treatment".
Another simple example: These are diseases that progress with narrowing of the heart vessels (Coronary Heart Diseases). Blood pressure increases to save the heart, which receives insufficient blood from narrowed vessels. High blood pressure occurs. We call this type of high blood pressure "response high blood pressure - reactive hypertension". With early diagnosis, if the heart gets enough blood and the vessels are opened, high blood pressure will improve. This is the "definitive treatment."
In cases of vascular narrowing and occlusions that reduce the amount of blood flowing to an important organ, the body reacts to this situation and increases the pressure.
Vital vital organs such as the Brain, Lung, Liver and Heart. When the amount of blood flowing to our organs decreases, the body increases blood pressure. He tries to save these organs. Reactive Hypertension develops.
This situation consists of a simple mechanism such as opening valves to meet insufficient water needs or opening fuel valves to deliver as much gasoline as needed to the engine of the accelerating vehicle.
In any way and early. If the blockage in the vein passes or the vein regains its previous width during the period, the blood pressure will increase. n becomes normal again.

The brief information I explained above in explaining the relationship between Cervical Hernias and Hypertension will help you understand the relationship between hypertension and cervical hernia more easily.
Neck. Disc Herniation (You can get detailed information from my article titled What is Cervical Herniation?): It can be of different types such as the protrusion of the disc between the cervical vertebrae towards the spinal canal, its bellying, or the protrusion of the disc core into the spinal canal as a result of the rupture of the disc capsule (Extrude-Protrude). ((What is Cervical Herniation? Article: Types of Hernia.)
Regardless of the type of cervical disc herniation, it causes very different complaints depending on the area it crushes and compresses within the spinal canal.
Classically, The complaint of cervical disc herniation, which is known to all physicians and is now being recognized by the public: Neck, back and shoulder pain and stiffness, pain spreading towards the arm or fingers, numbness in the arm, hand and fingers, and a feeling of weakness in the arm, hand and fingers.
The reason for this most well-known condition occurs when the hernia crushes the nerve fiber root.
In hernias that do not contact the nerve fiber root, there is no pain in the arms, hands and fingers. There is no noticeable weakness. The numbness is not permanent. There is usually no neck pain. Back pain is more prominent.
In one type of cervical herniation, the hernia directly crushes the main artery that feeds our spinal cord. It reduces the blood flow through the artery. The needs of that area (segment) of the spinal cord The available blood cannot be supplied.
Our body perceives this situation as a threat and as a precaution - opens the valves - that is, tries to deliver enough blood to the area by increasing the pressure. Reactive Hypertension occurs.
In patients with this type of cervical disc herniation, blood pressure increases from time to time during the day without the patient noticing.
Sometimes blood pressure increases so much! The patient develops symptoms of high blood pressure. (such as facial flushing, fullness in the head area, heart beating very strongly, body shaking with each heartbeat, intense pain and feeling of fullness in the back of the head.)
Sometimes these patients apply to emergency services. It is confirmed by measuring excessive blood pressure and blood pressure.
Mostly, these attacks last for one or a few days in the beginning. And blood pressure normalizes without using any medication.
I call this process -Transitional Process-.
Permanent HYPERTENSION develops after a while in patients with this type of cervical disc herniation.
>Despite all the research and examinations, the cause of HYPERTENSION cannot be found and they are diagnosed with ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION (High Blood Pressure of Unknown Reason) and start using medication. Lifelong…
Actually, the cause of Hypertension may be a simple and treatable disease: Cervical Disc Herniation.
May-1998 Antalya 12th Neurosurgery Congress: "Hypertension and Cervical Disc Herniation."
>I drew attention to this issue with two separate scientific papers in 1998 and 1999.
Today, ASAB syndrome is included in the literature as a clinic of which I am the father.
However, cervical hernia and Apart from my study, no tangible study has yet been conducted on the relationship between hypertension and hypertension.
Although the number is small, many scientists who follow the literature or have acquired clinical sensitivity are knowledgeable about the relationship between hypertension and cervical disc herniation.
Of course, one day this information will be shared by all physicians.
During this time;
I wrote this article primarily to attract the attention of our patients with Hypertension.
If you have hypertension of unknown cause, refer your physician to investigate whether you have a "cervical disc herniation".
And if you have a "cervical disc herniation", be sure to have it treated.
If If you are not too late, your blood pressure will normalize after your cervical disc herniation is treated.
Maybe with a simple treatment, you will be saved from taking medication for life, having multiple examinations every year, and most importantly, from experiencing a life-threatening situation due to this disease.
>Remember. Cervical Disc Herniation causes serious Hypertension.
