In the external part of the male genital system that we see, there are two separate structures that we can call penis and bag/sac (scrotum).
Penis.
It is an organ that contains the urethra, which is the last part after the urinary bladder in excreting urine from the body, and also plays a role in sexual intercourse.
Penis It consists of three parts: head (glans), body and root. The head is covered with the foreskin in uncircumcised men.
In fact, it is the most diverse blood/vascular system in the body. With sexual stimulation, blood fills many vein-like cavities (cavernous bodies) inside, sexual intercourse occurs with the erection created by this blood in the organ, and when sexual stimulation disappears, the blood in the structure drains and the penis returns to its previous state. This entire system is intertwined and managed by nerves that carry out the orders received from the centers in our brain and spinal cord.
Scrotum
Inside It contains one egg (testicle) in two separate compartments. Just behind both testicles is the seminal vesicle (epididymis), which is stuck to it like a backpack. The seminal duct coming out of this seminal vesicle, together with the vessels and nerves of the testicle, forms the spermatic cord, which resembles a thick electrical cable with many wires inside. This cord passes through the inguinal canal, which is a narrow tunnel in the upper part of the sac, and connects to the inner part of the inguinal canal.
The testicles are the organs that produce both sperm and most of the male hormone called testosterone. It contains many thin canals and sperm cells are produced in this region under the influence of the FSH
(Follicle Stimulating Hormone) hormone secreted from the pituitary gland in the brain. Testosterone production also occurs with LH (Luteinizing Hormone) secreted from the same region in the brain.
It takes approximately 2.5 months for sperm cells to mature in their life, which begins in the canals within the testicular structure. Their maturation continues in the epididymis, which is their first depot, through a thin channel. They are carried to the seminal vesicles, which are the last reservoirs in the body from which they will be released.
The liquid expelled by a man's pleasure sensation (orgasm) It is called ejaculate. It contains fluids produced by both seminal vesicles and prostate gland, as well as sperm cells. Semen is a 1.5-5cc volume, white/yellow, sticky and viscous liquid. It may contain millions of sperm cells. It liquefies and loses its consistency within 15-20 minutes following its excretion.
