Toilet is No Longer a Problem

Each developmental period is unique to the child, and mothers wonder what path they should follow during these periods. Controlling one's muscles begins at 18 months and may also occur at 2 or 3 years of age. These periods can be considered to gain toilet habits. There are some criteria to understand that the child is ready. These should be looked at. The child begins to be disturbed by dirty diapers, muscle development is achieved around the ages of 2 and 3, and he does not want to go to the toilet in every environment. Another important point is that the perception of privacy has developed. Bowel movements have become regular. He has started talking, can put on and take off his own clothes, and can perform movements that require gross motor skills, such as sitting and standing. If he wakes up dry during the day, holds the toilet for 2 hours, and starts to wonder about going to the toilet, we can think that he is ready. The important thing here is that if we have received the wrong signal and the baby does not want to give up diapers, there is no response after saying goodbye.

In fact, developmental periods go in order. For example, a child who does not stop breastfeeding and has not started talking cannot be taught toilet habits, even if he/she is interested in it. It is necessary to examine the rug health processes for a child who is 4 years old and still uses diapers.

So how should we prepare the child?

The child should have knowledge about the toilet and potty in advance, whether he will use the potty or toilet on his own. It is necessary to decide together what underwear he wants to wear in the toilet or what game he wants to play there. Hygiene is most important here. If the mother emphasizes hygiene too much, then the child will want to avoid a situation that will be easy to get used to.

It is important to note at what time your child goes to the toilet and how often accidents occur. It is important to wake him up every half hour and ask him to go to the toilet without pressure. Many people try to teach toilet habits during toilet training, which will cause the child to become confused. The potty used should only be located in the toilet part of the house. The child will get used to this process over time, so it is not appropriate to get angry or punish in case of accidents.
