Polysomnographic examination and evaluation of the results:Polysomnography is an examination used in the diagnosis of snoring and sleep apnea and is performed by measuring the patient's brain waves, eye movements, respiratory activities, oxygen percentage in the blood and muscle activity during night sleep. It gives 1 hour Apnea index and Apnea + Hypopnea index. Based on these results, it is decided which type of treatment the patient will benefit from. In our hospital, this examination is performed completely by an ENT physician and a lung and chest diseases specialist and his team during a 1-night stay.

B. Types of Surgery
-Nose surgeries: Septoplasty, concaplasty
-Endoscopic sinus surgery (in the presence of sinus polyp)
-Removal of large tonsils
-Anterior palatoplasty (mucosa from the soft palate area
-Lateral pharyngoplasty (operation to stretch the posterio plica from the palate area)
-Intervention in the root of the tongue
-Intraoral devices
C. Snoring device
– CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and BIPAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure)
Both devices have OSA (obstructive sleep) It is used in the treatment of apnea. Which device to use is determined by the physician after the polysomnography (PSG) test.
In the evaluation of the results of the ENT examination and the polysomnographic examination, if necessary, we recommend one of the operation types or a CPAP/BIPAP device to our patient, or a CPAP/BIPAP device after the operation.
