When we think about the pre-quarantine period, we were in a rush. With our school-work life, friends, hobbies, places we like to be and other responsibilities, time was passing intensely but painlessly. But due to the coronavirus, we are all at home right now. While some of us have adapted more easily to staying at home, some of us have difficulty doing this; in short, we react differently. In any case, we want/try to go through this process as efficiently and calmly as possible. I would like to give you a few tips by sharing some tips on planning your life while staying at home.
1. Eating healthy and exercising will be beneficial for both strengthening your immune system and making you feel vigorous. During this period, we may not be able to do outdoor sports, we may not be able to go to gyms, the place we live may not be suitable for exercising comfortably and widely. However, do not forget to exercise in a way that suits your conditions. This will be good for you as you will spare time for yourself, and you will feel happier and calmer thanks to the hormones we secrete when we do sports.
2. Not neglecting your personal care will also help you feel good.
Taking care of your cleanliness, wearing comfortable and comfortable clothes, continuing your routine habits such as washing your face, brushing your teeth, and taking a shower will help you feel more peaceful and refreshed.
3. You can also add reading books to your daily routine. You can identify an author or poet that you have wanted to read for years but have never been able to read, and read his works.
4. You can create a movie list and watch the movies you specify. You can get help from your friends while creating this list. You can even create a list with a few people and then discuss the movies you watched.
5. Remember that what we are experiencing is physical isolation, not social isolation.
Do not forget to talk to your friends and share your concerns and feelings.
In addition, you should remain individual and define yourself according to your wishes. Take time to think about your expectations from life, your strengths, your successes in life, and the lessons you have learned. While doing this, be careful not to blame or judge yourself.
6. Everyone may go through this process in different ways and moods under different circumstances. You may not get along with the people you live with at home and feel blocked. Being as understanding and sharing as possible in this process will increase the well-being in the house. You should take into account the needs and wishes of the individuals in the house and clearly express your own wishes and needs.
Remember that even though we are going through a difficult process, we are still in control of our lives.
In this process, you do not have to be very productive, achieve great things, or become a completely different person when life returns to its normal routine. Just feel the sense of control and plan how you can be happier with the existing conditions. Stay healthy.
