What is Anger Management Disorder?
Anger is actually the tip of the iceberg. There are many sub-emotions that cause the emotion and behavior of anger.
- Jealousy,
- Failure,
- Anxiety,
- Fear. ,
- Sadness,
- Panic,
- Despair
such as…
For example; A mother, whose child is hanging from the window, embraces her child with great anger and begins to shout and scold him. In other words, it reflects the emotion and behavior of anger. However, the underlying feeling there is fear, anxiety and panic. The mother was worried that her child would fall out of the window, she was scared and panicked. But the emotion it reflects is anger.
In this and many similar examples, we reflect the anger caused by that emotion rather than our underlying basic emotion, and we usually do this aggressively.
By shouting, using violence, by breaking or throwing things.
If we are faced with such a situation, we can talk about anger control disorder.
The important thing at this point is to accept that anger is a normal emotion, the underlying emotion and We gain the ability to become aware of our thoughts and express our anger in a healthy way.
We can search for ways to know, make sense of and accept ourselves and our emotions during the psychotherapy process and discover new paths/journeys
