Mental health describes the cognitive, emotional and behavioral well-being of the person as a whole. This is also a process that expresses thoughts, behavior, communication skills, emotional development and actions, and even people's self-confidence. Generally, some psychological symptoms may be observed that negatively affect people's lives with cyclically distressing thoughts, feelings and reactions. When the symptoms show certain definitions, the diagnosis can be made by a specialist doctor and the process can be supported with treatment approaches.
Clinical diagnoses can usually be made after a careful evaluation process by interviewing the person himself or his family and caregivers. First of all, a physical examination is necessary to accurately evaluate the symptoms. For example, in cases such as nausea, heart palpitations, insomnia, and various pains, it should be determined whether there is any physical disease. This is a prerequisite for detecting physical diseases if they exist or eliminating them if they do not exist. When no physical findings are found, a psychological clinical interview is also enlightening. During the interview, the client's life experiences, family history and recent problems related to his/her problems are discussed. These conversations aim to reveal signs of susceptibility to all kinds of problems, strengths and weaknesses. When necessary, people's knowledge, skills and personality traits can be evaluated with some psychological tests. Afterwards, individuals are supported with appropriate treatments and approaches to solve their emotional and behavioral problems and protect their mental health.
