Contrary to popular belief, there are very limited conditions that would prevent vaccinations.
- Mild fever,
- Diarrhea that does not require hospital treatment,
- Upper respiratory tract infections. Simple coughs,
- Runny nose,
- Loss of appetite,
- Malaise
Does not constitute an obstacle to postponing vaccinations!
However, the pediatrician should decide which vaccine should be given or not for children who have serious illnesses (for example, epilepsy patients)or children who have ongoing illnesses and are hospitalized under the supervision of a doctor.
Apart from such special reasons, vaccines should be administered on time, in accordance with the vaccination schedule. Everyone applies the vaccination schedule in the same way and at the same time, and if vaccine doses are not missed for simple reasons, only then will social immunization gain meaning and be successful.
DON'T FORGET that vaccines have no therapeutic properties. So, getting vaccinated after getting sick will not help!
