Pregnancy and Postpartum

PREPARATION FOR BREASTFEEDING BEFORE BIRTH

I encounter breastfeeding problems and undue anxiety and anxiety in many of our mothers who have given birth. Every cry of their baby makes mothers sad and says, "My baby is hungry, my baby can't breastfeed, I don't have any milk!" I often hear their voices during my visits. Especially young women who have become mothers for the first time have very little knowledge about breastfeeding and their self-confidence is very low.

In fact, every baby born is created with the ability to turn to the mother's breast, seek, catch and suck. It is our mistakes that spoil the natural nature of babies. If we are a little patient and make a little effort, all babies will immediately start looking for breasts, unless they are born too early. Breastfeeding premature and twin babies requires separate training.

I will offer some suggestions to make breastfeeding easier so that our mothers do not experience difficulties in the first week of birth;

Breasts are among the most important organs from the beginning of pregnancy. Care should be taken to care for breasts that will grow 2.3 sizes; pure olive oil at least once a day or the body PH recommended by your gynecologist. You should care with moisturizers suitable for your skin condition.

Tight bras that will disrupt the blood flow of the breasts should not be used. If a rash or crack develops under the breasts or on the nipples, it should be treated without delay.

Usually, starting from the 6th month of pregnancy, yellow fluid begins to come out of the nipple. This is a welcome development and heralds that the milk will come down easily after birth.

After the 37th week of pregnancy is completed, expectant mothers should apply a hot water shower to the breasts, even for five minutes, in order to stimulate the breasts. Towels soaked in hot water can be wrapped around the breasts to help open the milk ducts.

37. After a week, there is no problem with sexual stimulation of the breasts unless your gynecologist specifically prohibits it. You can make gentle massages on the nipple with cream or oil. Stimulations are extremely beneficial, especially after 38 weeks.

The mother's spiritual and heartfelt desire to breastfeed her baby, her imagination, her baby being placed in her arms at the moment of birth, and her hearing the sound of crying, accelerates the descent of milk immediately after birth.

Vaginal Birth or s Immediately after the Caesarean section, our midwives and nurses accompany our mothers to perform the first breastfeeding and to teach the correct breastfeeding technique.

If another woman will breastfeed for you, this will enter the nursing institution, which is a separate training subject. If you are going to breastfeed yourself, do not forget that turning a deaf ear to the wrong suggestions coming from the environment is the success of motherhood.

Providing foods and plants that increase breast milk before birth helps the milk to decrease quickly and be abundant. Foods such as cumin, dill, chickpeas, lentils, dried beans, radish, radish seeds, carrot seeds, pure yeast, lettuce, onion, kale, artichoke, honey sherbet, yoghurt, grapes, dates, dried figs, as well as fennel, anise. , nettle, sage, parsley, black cumin plants should be boiled at different times and drunk with honey added. There are also ready-made milk enhancers that consist of a mixture of several of these teas. For multiple pregnancies (twins, triplets), you may need to start preparations earlier with your doctor's permission. As a mother who raised twins, I will always try to share my experiences with you. Mothers whose baby or babies are in incubators may need milking machines. In addition to the options of buying or renting a S,3+ horse, they can also learn hand milking techniques in a short time. I recommend that they eat dates. Date is a food that both increases milk production and contributes to wound healing.

In addition, milk enhancing seeds are consumed twice a day in a glass of boiled water for 5-10 minutes in the birth preparation package I prepared before birth.

Dough foods do not increase breast milk but only lead to obesity. Postpartum women should consume plenty of fluids; They should drink a glass or two of water after each breastfeeding. Herbal teas and foods rich in calcium are very beneficial. Starting from the 3rd day after birth, milk overflows in most mothers and this causes swelling in the breasts. The number of days we will be patient is 3. After 3 days, with God's permission, you will be able to breastfeed even twin babies.

During the epidemic, our expectant mothers and fathers went to birth and postpartum babies together. It will be very beneficial for them to enter the current process by receiving special training. The newborn period is a very difficult and heavy marathon.

The truth is that breastfeeding requires effort, sacrifice and perseverance.

I wish all our expectant mothers to experience a healthy and easy breastfeeding process with their babies, and I wish all our newborn babies to be happy in their mothers' arms.
