BLEACHING

Whitening is the process of removing discolorations in the structure of teeth (enamel and dentin layer). Nowadays, the bleaching process to whiten the color of the teeth is applied in two ways; is the system. It can be applied to one tooth, several teeth, or both upper and lower teeth. Before the bleaching agent is applied to the teeth, a protective material is applied to the gums, and then the whitening agent is placed on the teeth by a physician who has experience in this process. A blue/green light source is shined on the relevant tooth for a certain period of time. When the process is completed, the result is observed immediately. This procedure can be done in 2 or 3 sessions until the desired whiteness is achieved.

2- Home whitening

The dentist takes the measurements of the patient's teeth and prepares the teeth exactly according to this measurement. It is a method applied with a plate. Whitening is achieved by the patient placing this plate with the whitening agent on his teeth at home for a certain period of time. It may be recommended to repeat it 4 or 5 times. It is very important to make the correct diagnosis and use the right material correctly in the whitening process. Otherwise, thinning and excessive sensitivity of the tooth enamel, burning and recession of the gums may occur. Proper use is only possible under the supervision of a physician.
Although both methods are effective, the choice depends on the degree of discoloration, how quickly the treatment is desired to be terminated, and the physician's opinion.

There may be many reasons for this. The most common ones are; old age, consumption of substances that stain teeth (coffee, tea, cola, cigarettes, etc.), traumas, old age i prostheses, crowns and fillings. Antibiotics (tetracycline) used during the formation of teeth or excessive fluoride consumption may also cause discoloration in teeth

It can be applied to anyone. Your dentist will determine whether the teeth are suitable for this procedure through a complete oral examination and diagnosis. If your teeth are healthy, it is an ideal solution for a whiter and natural smile.

Teeth are always healthy. Over time, it will become whiter than before. Whitened teeth remain white for a few years. But this period varies from person to person. Eating and drinking habits, smoking and brushing habits affect how long teeth stay white. This period is shorter, especially in smokers. For people who pay attention to oral hygiene and do not have a smoking habit, this period can be up to 3-5 years. Since white teeth are associated with youth, they are highly desired by people who want to have an aesthetic appearance. However, we should point out that exaggerated whiteness may not be aesthetic in most cases. The natural tone that suits your face and mouth structure will always be more aesthetic.
