What is the difference between vertigo and dizziness? "Vertigo and dizziness" is a treatable symptom rather than a disease. When a person experiences vertigo, the possible symptom is dizziness. People use the term 'dizziness' to talk about a variety of conditions, mainly covering:
Vertigo (feeling a sensation of movement or tremors even when they are not moving)
Instability, instability, movement Instability (slipping while walking or feeling dizzy and unbalanced when standing),
Losing balance or feeling like fainting,
Rapid breathing in case of anxiety and anxious feeling.
WHAT CAUSES VERTIGO?
Vertigo occurs if any problem occurs in the vestibular system; The person feels dizzy and anxious. Vertigo can be defined as a feeling of dizziness, loss of balance, fainting and imbalance.
The feeling caused by the person's own movement is called subjective vertigo, and the feeling that the objects around him are moving is called objective vertigo. Vertigo usually occurs as a result of healable irregularities in the vestibular system. The vestibular system includes structures in the inner ear, vestibular nerve, brainstem and cerebellum. If we talk about the function of the vestibular system in the body, it is to associate sensory and movement stimuli with each other and to capture the objects that the eye focuses on while the body is moving.
So how does this mechanism happen?
As the head moves, some structures in the inner ear create a message with the signals they receive and transmit it to the brain. This serves as the GPS on your phone, which detects your location while using navigation. This information is then transmitted to the balance control, posture and motor coordination centers in the brain.
The good news is that most vertigo symptoms can be relieved with many vertigo exercises performed in our clinic.
WHAT CAUSES DIGITIA?
The most well-known dizziness is positional vertigo, which comes in attacks. Others commonly include inner ear inflammation, Meniere's disease, vestibular neuritis, vestibular migraine, and acoustic neuroma (sudden hearing loss). Vertigo rarely causes serious neurological problems. It causes symptoms such as a stroke or brain hemorrhage, so we must investigate what is causing the vertigo or dizziness. Treatable cervicogenic dizziness is a condition that occurs due to deterioration of the axis of the cervical vertebrae. The person feels that he/she is sliding forward, backward or to one side while walking. This situation can be improved by correcting the alignment of the cervical vertebrae.
In the treatment of dizziness, we, as the physiorhythm family, plan and apply treatment based on the cause. If there is dizziness due to loss of axis and movement in the neck, we first find a solution with manual therapy. This procedure allows the cervical vertebrae to be corrected with techniques that bring them to a healthy movement plane. With these corrections, it provides the joint range of motion required for health. Among these methods, soft mobilizations for the muscles are provided, if necessary, with various maneuvers and manipulations for the joint. The second stage of the treatment includes medical fitness.
