It means applying an implant and placing a tooth on top of it at the same time that the tooth is extracted. To make an immediate implant, there must be no infection in the tooth and there must be enough bone in the area where it will be applied. Tooth extraction should be done as less traumatic as possible and if necessary, bone powder should be supplemented around the implant. Since oral implantology brings advantages such as shortening the implant size, preserving the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the alveolar bone, allowing placement of the optimal implant size, and reducing the total treatment cost, it has recently attracted great attention and many clinical and experimental studies have been carried out by many researchers using the immediate implantation method. The successful results obtained in these clinical and experimental studies have enabled the immediate implantation method to be accepted as a treatment method in oral implantology.
