“The World Health Organization (WHO) defines mental health as “a state of social and emotional well-being with the ability to achieve one's potential and cope with pressure situations that are considered normal in life.” Accordingly, mental health; It requires skills such as recognizing one's talents,
coping with the normal stress of life, and trying to be good by contributing to society; It concerns all individuals, not just those with mental disorders.
According to research; 5 out of 10 diseases that cause disability in the world
are mental illnesses and these are; depression, alcohol use, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and obsessive compulsive disorder. It has been found that 18% of the population in Turkey has a mental illness throughout their life, and the rate of clinically problematic behavior in children and adolescents is 11%.
Our aim as a hospital is; To increase the knowledge and understanding of mental health in the society, to protect and support the mental health and life functions of the person, to improve the treatment and care of psychiatric diseases and to integrate these patients into society.
