When the hymen ruptures, the pain that many people fear does not occur.
The hymen is a tissue representing virginity with a thickness of at most 3-4 millimeters in the lower genital area, at the entrance to the vagina. It is torn by sexual intercourse or injuries. If there is no vaginismus when the hymen ruptures, it will not hurt. The hymen has no function and can have various structures. The flexible hymen does not tear during intercourse. Some hymens are so narrow that they can almost be opened surgically. Sometimes, very rarely, it is completely closed. In those whose hymen is closed, menstrual blood cannot flow out and accumulate in the uterus, causing serious problems. When the hymen ruptures, there is usually little bleeding. When it is torn a lot, sometimes there is a lot of bleeding. It is necessary to intervene surgically. Sometimes there may be no bleeding at all. The hymen can be repaired. However, its integrity is not the same as before. In cases of permanent hymen transplantation or temporary hymen transplantation, bleeding occurs during sexual intercourse. The hymen is not detected during intercourse, but it can be understood if examined by a gynecologist. The hymen is performed by an experienced gynecologist. If it is done properly using good materials and the person follows the doctor's advice, bleeding will occur during intercourse.
