One of the most heard concepts these days is "Staying in the Moment"
So what is Staying in the Moment?
Being able to focus on the present by leaving aside past and/or future anxiety and stress factors.
If we are currently having peaceful moments somewhere by the sea, a current problem is related to what may happen in the future. Thinking and not being able to live that moment means not being able to stay in the moment.
Or we are very happy that we got the expected grade in the exam. At that very moment, we feel the anxiety of the next exam or the regret and wish of the exam in which we received a bad grade.. And again, not being able to stay in the moment..
Sadness, regret. , worry, worry, etc.
If the "what ifs" we focus on in the past become the "what ifs" in the future, we miss the things in the moment and have to always chase..
Being able to stay in the moment increases the peace point and satisfaction in the person. It aims to make even the simplest and ordinary things feel and show that they are valuable.
Factors that make it easier to stay in the moment;
**A single task, a single thought at that moment, without concentrating on more than one task at the same time. Of course, it will not be productive if we try to chat while eating, watching TV and at the same time. If we focus on just one, we will not be mentally tired and we will be able to enjoy the action.
**Our senses are very important. Smell, taste, sounds... These are the points that aim to be at that moment. What do I hear, what smells come from me, who is around me right now? Questions like these will help. Perhaps many details that have not been noticed until now will emerge and surprise you.
**Breathing exercises.. Focusing on breathing and perhaps understanding the importance of our breathing during the day.. Listening to our breathing.
**Perhaps, in order not to make a mistake, we can experience our emotions at that moment without worrying so much, knowing that even if a mistake is made, it has meaning and continuing our adventure.
**Staying in the moment is not only positive emotions, but also negative emotions. aims to live on time. We always say that postponed mourning comes sooner or later. If it is necessary to be sad at that moment when we lose a loved one, to live and question how we feel. This is a style that is both relaxing and less tiring.
In short, to enjoy our journey of Staying in the Moment
