10 Movies to Watch with Children While Staying at Home

I have prepared a short list of movies that can be watched as a family while #stayathometurkey days continue for all of us. The words in parentheses contain the original titles of the films.

1. Koko (Coco, 2017)

A Pixar film about a guitar-toting Mexican boy who is accidentally sent to the afterlife and learns about his ancestors while entertaining all members of his family, especially the music lovers.

2. Coraline and the Hidden World (Coraline, 2009)

Coraline enters an alternative world where her parents behave better than they do in the real world, and then things really turn around in LAIKA's modern tale.

3. Treasure Island (The Goonies, 1985) 

A group of teenagers embark on an epic adventure with the children trying to save their home and town. The movie, which also contains cool pirates, young love and lessons in tolerance, is a classic.. 

4. Juggler (2006) 

The warm, sincere story of a childish man who constantly expects to be appreciated by his father. Hokkabaz, one of Cem Yılmaz's popular family films, takes adults back to their childhood and makes them question the father-child relationship.

 

5. Miracle (Wonder, 2017) 

A very subtle film that skillfully explains how to approach special children and gives us in-depth knowledge of the feelings and thoughts of all members of the family. It explains how differences can be accepted and how hard it is to struggle on this path, sometimes making you laugh and sometimes making you cry.

6. Moana (Moana, 2016)

A story that can be a great role model, especially for girls. It is a very effective film that shows that girls can be successful leaders just like boys.

7. Toy Story 1-2-3-4 (Toy Story 1-2-3, 1995-1999-2010-2019) 

Oscar award-winning film about the dialogues and adventures of a boy's toys with each other when they are alone Series. The 5th of the series will be released this year. I recommend you watch all the movies in the series from the beginning. All of them are beautiful and impressive.

8. 2001 Star Trek Adventure (2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968) 

Space and science fiction productions A masterpiece for children who are curious and want to learn. I definitely recommend watching it with children aged 10 and above to engage in endless dialogue and brainstorm afterwards.

9. The Lion King (Lion King, 1994)

One of the most successful films in the history of animated films that makes you think about concepts such as morality, honesty, responsibility, leadership, family and society. The song Hakuna Matata is on everyone's lips.

 

10. Hababam Rock (School of Rock, 2003)

A very nice movie that does not contain any elements of violence and will attract the attention of all children who love and are interested in music. Alcoholic beverages appear in a few scenes, but thanks to the messages the entire film gives us, this is not disturbing.
