Another important feature of the disease is the recurrent painful sores on the genitals of the patients, apart from the aphthae seen in the mouth. These skin wounds seen in Behçet's patients are very important in the early diagnosis of the disease. Due to these wounds in the mouth and on the skin, the disease is in the special interest of the Dermatology branch. Other areas of involvement of Behçet's disease include the eyes, joints, intestines, veins and arteries, brain, spinal cord and digestive system. It is a disease that can cause inflammation at different levels in these organs and progress with attacks. The main finding in the eye is “uveitis”. The disease is not limited to only three symptoms, but it is a disease that can involve more than one organ and progress with attacks.

The disease can be treated. However, none of the treatments applied can completely eliminate Behçet's disease. In the treatment, we use drugs that suppress inflammation.
