What if I don't feel good, what if I don't feel like it?

Many of us have opportune times to wait to take a step towards something. Sentences like "I have to be ready, let this happen, then it will be okay, I will start when I feel good, let me have some peace of mind, this time it will be for sure" are not uncommon. Sound familiar to you?

Yes; Being ready and feeling good is very important. However, is it always really necessary? What I am specifically talking about here is adults' beliefs about readiness. Yes, sometimes we set such strict rules for ourselves and get so cornered that we cannot step into what we want to do or anything that has to be done. Let's look at the belief that "I must feel good first." While it is not under our control when we will feel good or how long we can carry this feeling, and as human beings, our time, energy and opportunities are limited, when we act with the precondition of 'let me feel good first, then I will do it', we raise our expectations from ourselves and make things worse than they are. We can make it difficult. We deprive ourselves of the possibility of feeling good after performing the action.

If I cannot feel good as I want for a long time, will I never be able to make the start I want? Will I not go to work, meet my friends, study, or even skip eating and sleeping? This is what we do to ourselves sometimes. We are surrounded by such rules, beliefs, should and should sentences that it becomes impossible to breathe, stretch or go one step further. We can create space for new emotions when we take small steps, even when we don't feel like it or when we don't feel very well. I hear you say, "It's hard to take action without feeling good." However, when we do nothing and remain inactive for a long time, it can become even more difficult to go through those difficult emotions and desire something.

What I mean is, let's not push ourselves too hard, but without waiting for our emotions to pass, we can feel small things along with their existence. Let's take small steps. Just like I did today :)

I say this as someone who has a lot of rules and can find countless excuses for sitting down and writing. The path to our big dreams goes through small steps. Being able to write a book is a small paragraph Being able to cook well means entering the kitchen, passing exams means working with determination, and being successful in any subject requires continuing to try without setting prerequisites for ourselves.

What would you be willing to do today, even if you don't feel well or don't feel like it?
