In this issue, we will talk about mitochondria as anti-aging medicine.
Of course, this topic is not a coincidence for the Mother's Day issue.
Motherhood is interesting, of course, it is not easy to explain. There are thousands of beautiful words about motherhood that are not enough to describe motherhood.
There are many aspects that can be explained if you want to explain; Which one will you tell? The spiritual, physical, hormonal effects of pregnancy, breastfeeding, genes, mitochondria, the role of the mother in the first 2 years of the child's secure bond with the world... There is never enough or any article to explain the power of motherhood.
As it is known, we have an autonomic nervous system whose main duty is to ensure human survival under all circumstances. The main duty of our autonomic nervous system is to keep people alive. The basic rule of all situations that a person may encounter is to survive. The rule only breaks in two cases:
Motherhood and Love
Today's topic is mitochondria. In fact, it can be said to be the most important organelle of health and the aging process.
WE GET ALL OF OUR MITOCHONDRIA FROM THE MOTHER
Although the exact causes of aging are not fully resolved, it causes cellular dysfunction and tissue failure. It is thought to be a degenerative process caused by accumulated damage leading to death.
When we look at the diseases, it is possible to see that the mitochondrial functions of the problematic tissue or organ are impaired.
So what are mitochondria and what do they do?
Mitochondria produces ATP used in cellular functions. It can be defined as the energy production center of the producing cell. Energy is one of the most important factors in maintaining the vital functions of the cell, that is, the organism, and staying healthy.
Mitochondrial damage is an important part of the aging process. As cells age, the efficiency of the respiratory chain decreases and electron leakage increases, causing a decrease in ATP (energy) formation. Different cell types have different numbers of mitochondria, and because they have their own DNA, they can divide independently of the cell they are in. In other words, mitochondrial proliferation depends on cell division. It is not. During reproduction, half of a child's DNA comes from their father and half from their mother. However, the child always receives their Mitochondrial DNA from their mother. When mitochondria stop working, the cell they are in is deprived of energy. Damage occurs to the cell and aging begins.
Cells that need the most energy, such as heart muscle cells and nerves, are most affected by damaged mitochondria. The target in aging is focused on mitochondria. Studies have shown that oxidative stress, mitochondrial DNA mutations, and decrease in mitochondria reproduction cause cellular aging; Therefore, it shows that it causes the aging of the relevant organ and tissue, that is, in fact, the aging of the body.
Inadequate mitochondrial nutrients (vitamins, minerals) and carbohydrate-rich diet,
Free oxygen radicals,
Stress
Environmental toxic load
Detoxification deficiencies in the body
Problems in flora and intestines
And many other factors can cause mitochondrial dysfunctions and therefore It leads to diseases and premature aging. In other words, disease is actually the aging of cells, tissues and organs. Organ damage is directly related to the problem of mitochondria, that is, energy production, in that tissue. In other words, the disease in the organ or tissue regresses and resolves with the healing of the mitochondria.
In patient evaluations and treatments, or in the recovery plans we carry out in anti-aging approaches, prophylactic preventive medicine approaches, holistic medicine approaches, we eliminate mitochondrial damage and determine the factors that will cause mitochondrial damage. The issues of reducing and regulating mitochondrial nutrients have an important place.
Then, in order to stay healthy and slow down aging, we will take good care of our mitochondria, which we received from our dear MOTHERS.
HAPPY DAY TO ALL MOTHERS IN THE WORLD
