SCALES CONSIDERED IN SMILE DESIGN

1.Horizontal Symmetry: If we draw an imaginary horizontal line passing between both pupils, this line would ideally be It should be parallel to the horizontal line we draw between the sharp tips of the canine teeth.

2.Vertical Symmetry: Let's imagine an imaginary line passing through the middle of our face. This line should pass through the middle of our two eyes, nose and chin. Ideally, this line should also pass between the central incisors, which we call the midline, and the central incisors should be a mirror image of each other.

3. Laugh Line: Let's imagine an imaginary curve passing through the incisal tips of the upper teeth. Let's compare this curve with the lower lip. It is ideal for the teeth to form a smile curve compatible with the lower lip. This feature is very necessary for a smile like that of young people.

4. Smiling Width: Ideally, in a wide smile, the teeth between the first molar and the other molars are visible. However, if there is a narrow smile, only the six teeth between the canine teeth should be visible.

5. Gum Line: If an imaginary curve is drawn passing through the top of the upper teeth, ideally only the triangular pink areas between the teeth should be visible.

6.Golden Ratio: This very special ratio is based on comparing the width of each front tooth with the width of the next one within a coefficient.

7.The ratio of the tooth within itself: Ideally, the width of a tooth is 80% of its length. In some people, as the teeth wear down, this ratio approaches 1:1 and the incisors look like a square.

8.Embrasures: These are triangle-like spaces located at the tips of the incisors. Without embroidery, teeth would look like piano keys and they would not give us character. Ideally, the embrasures are narrowest between the central incisors and wider in the lateral incisors. And ideally, the embroidery in women should be more rounded than in men.
