Sometimes we go through something constantly without knowing why we are experiencing it. Our level of discomfort from this decreases as it continues. Let's call it getting used to it briefly. So what happens when we get used to something?
I want to explain this a little bit because we get used to a bad mood and negative thoughts and ideas over time. This habit becomes a part of our character over time. So much so that it becomes very difficult to understand and name this over time. And we think that all those habits are our own. I sometimes hear this from my clients. They think that their own thoughts are their identity, and because they cannot break away from this, they feel even more guilty over time.
This must be very difficult. I think many people have the problem of not being able to control our thoughts and getting into the habit of thinking about these thoughts. But there are also people who do the exact opposite. For example, this is what I generally observe in people who are positive and at peace with themselves. They don't think their thoughts are their own. They do not identify with them, they are aware that they are just a thought and they do not assimilate it as an identity. On the other hand, when the thought becomes an identity, it puts people in an inextricable situation and feeds the feelings of guilt, anger, resentment and resentment that form the basis of most psychological disorders.
So what can we do?
First of all, we must learn to separate from our thoughts. We should practice capturing our thoughts.
How will you do this?
First of all, when a thought crosses your mind, be aware that it is a thought. Watch the thoughts that follow like an observer.
After a while, this will make you feel that you are different from those thoughts and will create a moment where you will feel serious relief.
When you can do all these, you can learn to control your thoughts over time. , you will not be able to make them a habit and you will be able to direct them in a positive way.
