New custom for the old village - To the first teacher of the free man
As I saw the mistakes in the education given in kindergartens, I thought that the education given between the ages of 3-6 is even more important, and the mistakes made at these ages have effects that are very difficult to correct. This study aimed to fundamentally change the philosophy of education and started this change by training teachers. We can name this change as accepting humans as a valuable and different being with unique characteristics. In the previous education model, there was a program consisting of some previously prepared information. Although each school has its own differences in practices, in this system the child plays a receiving role and the teacher plays a giving role. Where there is learning and teaching, there will inevitably be evaluation. That's when children will be evaluated according to each other, moving away from the concept that each child is special. In such a system, there is no idea of finding children's special talents. Just as it is painful for children's innate skills and characteristics to atrophy, it is also painful for a child to be forced to work in a field in which he is not actually talented. An unintended success does not give any satisfaction to the child, it has no meaning for him.
The aim of the new model we apply is to reveal the innate characteristics of children and to contribute to the development of children by creating an environment where they can use these characteristics. Children are not subjected to any sort of ranking. In order for a teacher to implement such a system, he must first know himself, see his different and special aspects, and learn to embrace his differences. A person can only apply to someone else the knowledge he applies to himself. Teachers changed educational practices in various ways and applied them to children, causing positive changes in children. Thus, teachers made their work more meaningful. Shy, introverted children came out of their shells with the strength of feeling their presence. They established comfortable and better quality communication with other children and adults. What this means for children is to reach outside meaning. It means ma'am. As a result, it means a meaningful start to life.
Frankl stated that people are like open containers. Through this opening, humans communicate with the universe. It will be ensured that children's containers remain open at all times, preserving their natural structure. No matter what condition they are in, being in contact with the outside will help them to withstand all the difficulties they encounter in life. Music and art studies enabled children to develop rapidly. Shy children have reached the same level as normal children, become more active and have strong communication with others. With this education model, education based on fear and discipline will be ended and an environment will be created where children can use their free will. The focus of children's attention will be directed towards tasks that suit their nature, and as a result, children will adapt to life. Children who can work towards their life's purpose will be calm, determined and confident. They will trust life, just as they trust themselves, and they will move away from fears. They will not allow fears to hinder them in their future lives. A society where people live free from fear will also be free from violence.
