Balance in Our Brain: Right and Left Brain

Scientific studies show that our brain consists of two parts, right and left.

The right brain is more our perception of the whole. Our imagination and creativity are nourished from here; This is where inspiration comes from. The right brain is the starting point of the understanding of art on earth. It is divine; It is the dimension where we feel our spirituality and are in contact with the universe.

People with developed right brains have a holistic perspective on events; They are interested in the whole rather than the details and make an evaluation accordingly. Aesthetic intelligence is developed in these people. In this respect, there is a tendency towards art.

The left brain is our analytical side. Focuses on details in situations. It focuses on each of them individually and goes deeper in detail. Our speech center is in this hemisphere.

People with developed left brains are prone to jobs that require attention and planning and are successful. They are successful in expressing themselves verbally.

Acting with the right brain in all areas of life may reflect on the person as disorganization and carelessness. Approaching life with too much left brain can be boring and slowing down. In addition, extreme left-brained people can take on an overly controlling personality because they want to control every detail.

The ideal is for the person to choose which side to use according to the situation and context and to ensure that the two brains communicate with each other. This communication takes place thanks to the part of the brain called Corpus Callosum, which enables information exchange between the two hemispheres.

This means; right brain in situations requiring solution and creation regarding a business; The left brain should be active at the point of planning, organizing and decision-making. In a situation where we need a new perspective, the questioning left brain being activated prevents us from drawing inspiration from the whole. Having the right brain active at the point of planning and decision-making may prevent us from being realistic or cause us to fall apart.

Perhaps it can be better understood with an example; Currently, while I am writing this article, I am transferring the information and sentences to paper as they come to my mind, without looking for any errors or mistakes, without paying attention to punctuation marks or spelling rules. I leave it completely in the hands of inspiration and creation. The right brain is active.

After a while, this flow process begins. After completing the exam, I need to activate the left brain in terms of punctuation, spelling rules, sentence spacing, etc. so that the text can be readable and understandable. You can imagine that if I use the judgment of the left brain during creation, the inspiration will disappear.

We can adapt this model to all the work we do in life.

To a life where we experience the synergy of the right and left brain...

With loveā€¦
