Body Shaping (Tightening) Surgery
1. Body lift is a procedure defined as the surgical removal of excess fat that causes deformation along with sagging skin due to excessive and/or rapid weight loss, in order to reshape the body. For many plastic surgeons, body lift is a combination of hip and thigh tightening and abdominoplasty.
2. Candidates for surgery are patients who have excessive and sagging skin and whose body areas and body contours have undergone severe deformation, and who generally lose weight rapidly and excessively (after stomach reduction operations). The difference between the procedure and liposuction is that not only the fatty tissues but also the sagging skin are surgically removed. However, during body lifting surgery, liposuction can be used to slim the areas adjacent to the surgery.
3. Since the body lift procedure involves removing sagging tissues and skin to shape them, the person must find their ideal weight before this procedure. It should not be forgotten that weight gained or lost after surgery may disrupt the aesthetic results achieved.
4. General body shaping is completed by stretching (monsplasty) of the back, jowls, arms and pubic areas in the same session or at another time with body lift surgery.
5. The operation time may take 4-6 hours depending on the extent of the surgery performed.
6. People who have undergone risky stomach reduction/clamp operations to get rid of excess weight in a radical and short time should not undergo the operation before the long "normalization and recovery" process is completed after these methods, as they will never regain their previous health performance. According to some researchers, this process lasts at least 2 years for people under the age of 30. Again, pre-operative cardiological and psychological surveillance/evaluation is especially required for patients in this group.
7. After these long operations, you can return to your daily activities after exactly 2 weeks, to work at the end of the 4th week, and to heavy exercises at the end of the 2nd month. After the operation, the patient is asked to adopt a lifestyle that includes a healthy and sustainable nutrition/exercise program.
While you reduce your weight with a diet, you shape your body with a healthy diet and exercise. Forgetting to lose weight Just like other people who can achieve this by making conscious, responsible and determined choices in the name of "being healthy", you too can achieve this.
