Hormanal Changes in Fathers
Hormonal changes: Elevated prolactin, cortisol and estrogen are observed in the saliva sample in the pre- and early postnatal period. This increases the father's protective and bonding behaviors, while at the same time testosterone decreases. Because there is no need for testosterone. From where? Because this hormone's area of expertise is seeking sexual partners and providing power and status. Since this equipment is not required in this process, there is a decrease in that level. In other words, nature also prepares the father for birth and the postpartum period. But of course, we do not take action only with hormones. This is about the upper brain... Don't make choices, don't take risks... but nature is on women's side :)
