Meat Me

Moles arise from cells called melanocytes, which give color to the skin in the body. These give the skin its color by secreting a substance called melanin. Moles are formed by collecting these locally. Moles can be seen anywhere on the human body. It may be congenital or may occur later. Skin tags are a little different. These are sometimes skin-colored or slightly dark bumps attached to the skin by a thin stalk. These are harmless and do not cause any complaints. Once formed, they grow very slowly but continuously. They are most often confused with warts. Warts are more adherent to the skin and are sessile. Also, it is rough. Their surface is flat. Additionally, warts are viral lesions. It is contagious. There is no such problem in these.

Folk Mole Treatment

It is not known why skin tags occur. Hereditary factors are blamed for its formation. Skin tags are generally more common in areas of the body that rub. This causes it to be thought of as a reaction of the skin. They are most commonly seen in places such as the neck, chest, armpit, and groin area.

Under normal conditions, they do not cause any complaints other than aesthetic appearance. But sometimes its nutrition may be disrupted. The reason for this is that the mole rotates around its stem and disrupts blood circulation. In this case, necrosis and abscess formation may occur. This causes pain and redness. Sometimes they can get caught on the patient's hand or underwear. This disturbs the patient.

Meat Me does not go away on its own. Except for vascular moles seen in children, no mole goes away on its own. Treatment of unwanted or symptomatic skin tags is essential.

There are various methods in treatment. However, the surgical treatment used in the past has now been abandoned due to the development of technology. However, surgical procedures are still performed in some centers. These leave a lot of scars. The stitch placed on the mole removed elliptically causes a scar of at least 1 cm. Nowadays, these moles are vaporized either by electrocautery or radiofrequency method. For this, local anesthesia is first applied to the lower part of the mole. Then, the mole is vaporized from the root with radiofrequency. The process takes 2 minutes. After the procedure, the patient can take a bath immediately. The aim here is to replace the mole with the skin after it is removed.

Laser and freezing method called cryotherapy are of no use in the treatment of skin tags. Because laser is of no use in lesions that bulge from the skin. The slow freezing method, which is used especially in the treatment of warts, also causes damage to normal skin. For this reason, it should not be done.

After the mole is removed, a crust forms in its place. The crust falls off within about 2 patients and is replaced by a redness. The renewed skin appears within 2-3 months.

Cancerance is almost never seen in skin tags. In suspicious cases, the part is sent to pathology.
