Hypnosis

Hypnosis; It is a trance state in which concentration and focus are at the highest level. Hypnosis created by looks, words or objects during sessions is a special state of consciousness. During hypnosis, the person closes himself to external stimuli and focuses on the suggestions of the hypnotist voluntarily.

There are moments in daily life when we spontaneously enter the hypnotic state of consciousness. Just like watching a program that attracts our attention on TV, forgetting time and place. In these cases, we close ourselves to external stimuli and focus on that subject.

WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnosis is just a technique. It is the state of putting a person in a trance state. Hypnotherapy is therapy in this trance state. In order to perform this therapy, it is not enough to just know hypnosis; it is not enough to know the person's personality organization, consciousness, unconsciousness, the chain of emotions, what to do with the memories that come, and how to intervene when traumatic memories come. You also need to know.

Thanks to hypnosis, we can reach the person's unconscious much more easily with a self-focused mind. It may be easier for him/her to notice vital events that are important to him/her, which he/she does not notice in daily life or thinks he/she has forgotten.

IS HYPNOSIS A STATE OF SLEEP?

Hypnosis is a state of sleep. It is not, it is a mental state in which attention and perception are greatly increased and the person is directed towards himself. When brain waves measured by EEG are evaluated, there are four basic mind waves from the human mind.

Beta waves: (14Hz-30Hz) It is a state of full alertness and awareness

Alpha waves: (8Hz-14Hz)     Relaxed. , relaxed but alert. Light hypnosis state

Theta waves:  (4Hz-8Hz)       Sleepy, drowsy and deep hypnosis state (the first stage of sleep)

Delta waves: (0.5Hz-4 Hz)  Deep sleep

CAN A PERSON BE PUT INTO HYPNOSIS UNWANTING OR WITHOUT AWARENESS?

No, it is not possible. A person must be willing to undergo hypnosis.

IN HYPNOSIS, CAN A PERSON BE MADE TO ACCEPT EVERYTHING AND BE TOLD ANY SECRET?

No. It is not possible to make the hypnotized person accept everything or tell secrets he does not want. Personality structure of the person, value judgment Life experience prevents this. In hypnosis, the conscious part of the mind evaluates and judges what happens in the hypnotic experience.

THINGS YOU NEED TO BE HYPNOSIS

The ability to concentrate one's attention The more competent he is, the more developed his imagination and the more willing he is, the easier it is to be hypnotized.

Can EVERYONE BE HYPNOSIS?

Children are very susceptible to hypnosis. For the first five years, children are in natural hypnosis; everything said in daily life easily reaches the unconscious. The period when the susceptibility to hypnosis is highest is between the ages of 6-10. 10-15% of the population is not prone to hypnosis and cannot undergo hypnosis. While 70-80% of the population has a medium level of susceptibility to hypnosis, 10-15% of the population has a high level of susceptibility.

Those with certain personality traits cannot undergo hypnosis. It is difficult for people with paranoid disorder or schizophrenia to undergo hypnosis, and it is not right to apply hypnosis to those with this condition. Those with obsessive compulsive disorder and controlling personality structure are less prone to hypnosis.
