The healthiest food consumed at sahur is breakfast. Fibrous foods such as vegetables, fruits and whole wheat bread, which are easily digested and can remain in the gastrointestinal system for a long time, and foods with high nutritional value should always be preferred. Heavy meals and floury foods should be avoided.

At iftar; Brown grain products and vegetables, which are digested slowly and can remain in the gastrointestinal tract for a long time due to fasting throughout the day, contain fiber and have a low rate of passing into the blood, and prevent health problems that may occur after iftar.
