A flat stomach and a beautiful waist curve is a body shape that every woman and man wants. Processes such as aging and pregnancy cause undesirable changes in the skin, subcutaneous fat layer, abdominal wall muscles and intra-abdominal fat. Four procedures have been categorically defined for ideal abdominal aesthetics. One of these procedures can be applied, different combinations or even all of them can be applied. The most determining feature here is the patient's current deformity and wishes.
We can briefly explain the abdominal aesthetic procedures as follows:
1.LIPOSUCTION (Removal of the subcutaneous fat layer)
Genetic, racial and gender-specific Depending on the diet and exercise, excess fat layer may be observed. Sometimes the opposite may occur, that is, an atrophy (decrease, shrinkage) in the fat layer.
2. REMOVAL OF EXCESS SKIN
After liposuction, there is a tightening of the skin. The 10 cm equilateral triangle drawn on the skin before the operation tightens to become a 5 cm equilateral triangle after liposuction. However, age, skin quality and expanded skin cannot provide adequate compression and stretching after liposuction. In this case, depending on the patient's condition, a small skin removal (mini abdominoplasty) or a skin removal extending to the belly button may be required. Of course, in this case, a scar hidden in the bikini line is formed.
3. REPAIR OF THE ABDOMINAL MUSCLES
If there is a curved muscle structure, it is very difficult to achieve the ideal abdominal aesthetics. This repair may be necessary even without the need for skin removal. In this case, even though it is limited, there is a scar on the bikini line.
4. CREATING A NEW BELLY BUTTON
The most important issue here is the amount of skin removed. Logically, the skin pulled from the side or from above will come down with the belly button. At this time, the belly button will remain undesirably low. For this reason, it may be desirable to create a new and natural belly button.
