What should be taken into consideration after prostate biopsy?
After prostate biopsy, patients can go home on the same day. It is generally recommended to use antibiotics for 1 week to prevent the development of infection. Although the amount is not large, bleeding from the anus or in the urine may be observed. This bleeding often resolves spontaneously. High fever following biopsy If persistent or unstoppable bleeding and inability to urinate develop, it is necessary to consult a doctor or emergency room.
